UNDERGRADUATE AUDITIONS

Undergraduate Audition Days for Fall 2022 admittance have been set:

To apply for admission to the UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music, please visit the School of Music website.    Dates for Campus Auditions are:

  • Friday - January 21

  • Saturday - January 29 

  • Saturday - February 5

 

Application Materials to the University of Georgia must be completed by the postmark deadline of January 1, 2022.   

The following degrees require an audition for entrance into the program and the UGA Trombone Studio:

  • Bachelor of Music Education

  • Bachelor of Music | Performance; Composition; Therapy

  • Bachelor of Arts

  • Music Minor

Interested students should choose two selections (an etude and a solo) from the list below.  Be sure to select repertoire that demonstrate your competence, versatility, and overall level of musicianship.

  • Tyrell: 40 Progressive Studies (#1-15)

  • Galliard: Sonatas #1, 3, or 5

  • Grondahl: Concerto

  • Guilmant: Morceau Symphonique

  • Jacob: Concerto

  • Larsson: Concertino

  • Saint-Saens: Cavatine

  • Sulek: Sonata vox Gabrieli

  • Telemann: Sonata in f minor

  • Weber: Romance
